In house Regulated Switching Power Supply

Recommended Posts

Hello friendlies,

I have found this to be one of the easiest ways to wire a car sub and amp in the house

http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=320-315

However, I am stuck as to where I would wire each different component (amp/ sub/ speakers / hu or cable to my computer to play music)

I appreciate all help and a drawing or diagram would be awesome!

I would use the 3.5mm audio jack of the computer and use a plug like this to your amp.

SD, thank for the input. I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

Want to know the real easiest way? Get equipment that's designed to go in a house. Like a plate amp ;)

if you dont know how to hook it up, like rca and such you really should just get a plate amp. like there are only so many connections. pretty self explanatory. kinda hard not tomake fun of that question.

but RCA to 3.5 MM to a computer or mp3 player. spekaer wire goes to spekaers from amp. amp remote goes into positive on amp. amp positive and negative go to power supply. and thats it

I would get two small awg distribution blocks or make your own and hook all positives to one block and all the negatives to another they are all connected internally you wire them together so you don't bottleneck and will keep your voltage higher also make sure to turn the voltage as high as it can go to do the remote just use a wire from positive and put it in the remote and put a switch between to be able to turn it off

Thanks guys. Appreciate it.

The reason why I wasn't looking at plate amps is because I have a crunch 1100 laying around
