93Cutty
Hey, my friend Kevin has a yellowtop that hasn't been used much at all. I was wondering if I bought that off of him and ran it in my trunk as a second battery, do I need to get an isolator? I really need to get something else in the rear and I know buying it from him would help him out, plus it's 60 bucks and it's a decent deal. I need to get an alt but nathan never returned my email so I am out of luck Thanks for teh help
*1LOWSUV*
If your going to run a stock battery up front and a Yellow Top in the rear I wouldn't do it without an Isolator or its really not going to help you any. 93Cutty
I have an interstate deepcell up front. How much are isolators? Any good ones/special things I need to look for when buying them?
*1LOWSUV*
Although I don't care for isolators and have been told to avoid them (Reason I run dual Yellows on an IRAGGI Alt) I've been told most anyone will do. Local Auto parts is the best bet. Quote [email protected]
kingsuv
I picked up an isolator at a local RV shop. They sell all day long. It just depends on how many amps your gonna pull through it. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
93Cutty
Ok. I'm saving up to get the yellow top off him. I am pretty sure it won't fit under my hood or I'd put it there, but I'll figure something out. Thanks for all the posts. I have done the big 3 and all, and I've been trying to get a HO alt but no luck on that either. I tried emailing Nathan but no email back. I've heard iraggi is $$$ but it's worth it. *1LOWSUV*
I've heard iraggi is $$$ but it's worth it. I have 2 IRAGGI alts and in the past 3 years only had to send one of them back and it was returned to me within a week...free of charge.
