nightshadelove
i just picked up some aa havoc 12s that i'm going to throw in my 2001 monte carlo. its going to be my first box build but i need some help with the design. i feel like the re box design site isn't too accurate and do not know how to use others so all help/designs will help. here's what i had measured from my trunk to work with, 34 inches wide, 15 inches tall, and 21 inches deep, but was kinda thinking i should double baffle the front and back? any help would be great, thanks! Joe X
Here is a suggestion, please read notes below: Enclosure Specifications:Fb = 34 HzVb = 2.2 ft^3External Height = 14 inExternal Width = 27 inExternal Depth = 18 inPort Width = 2 1/2 inCut Sheet List:* All Dimensions in Inches.* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.External Enclosure Parts:2 x Front & Back (3 parts) = 27 x 14Left & Right Sides = 15 3/4 x 12 1/2Top & Bottom = 27 x 15 3/4L Port Internal Assembly Parts:Front to Back = 13 1/4 x 12 1/2Extension = 9 3/4 x 12 1/2 Assembly guide (generic dimensions): Important notes:- The 45s if you want to do them are 2 1/2" wide except the one/ones inside the port, if you want that let me know.- All boxes built outside the vehicle need to fit in their way in not just have the right dimensions.- This box should be operated around subwoofer(s) rated power. If that´s not the case, let me know.- The port needs 2 1/2" of free airspace in front of it for proper operation.- Setting your amp subsonic filter to 28Hz is suggested.
