03 Xtreme Fosgate
/\ /\ /\ Yeah my bad I was talking about karkov's hoe. But I did go through your truck pics on photo bucket and I'm impressed man! I also have an extended can sonoma(s10) for my other ride and it's no where near as nice as yours. You got tons of sick gear in there, and the front end looks really nice! You have a build log on here, with descriptions and stuff? No I haven't done a build log for it,didn't think it would be that interesting compared to most of the builds on here.. I might try to make one this weekend.. goodvibez
Small updatePut my truxxx 2-3" leveling kit on today with some help from my roomate who works at a ford dealership. My torsion bars were already raised up a little, but I went from 9" between the top of the tire and the fender to 10.5" Heres the kit along with some fuel for the project lol! This came with extended shocks as well as new keys for the torsion bars. Old key and the new one, I will admit the old ones were a bit beefier but the new one is still friggin solid. I think the old ones are cast, and these ones were plasma cut from solid steel. Here is where it was at before And here it is now, like I said they had already been tightened up more than stock so not too much difference. The new extended shocks made the ride a whole lot better! If you have do a leveling kit like this you always have to get a front end alignment, lucky for me my buddie is certified so he gave me another hookup:) Here is another shot from the side [/url] Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are! I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating! goodvibez
/\ /\ /\ Thanks, I'm pleased with it! No body lift, just the leveling kit. It's enough for me, I think if I need more clearence I'll do a full on suspension lift kit. I have mixed feelings about body lifts?!?! The suspension on heavy duty trucks are rough as it is so if I do anymore to the suspension it will be in the way of making it more comfortable. The less all this shit bounces around the better! goodvibez
Ok So this is my first video(ever) of the truck playing. Figured I give a distance test on it first, then just show off the insides. These subs can move more but I turned them down because one of the spg's it starting to split the surround. I'll show a pic of that later. So my whole system can be turned on with the toggle switch, or automatically with the ignition. I wanted to show in the video How I can do that. Notice when I turn on my truck nothing shuts off, I really like that! Basically my accessories have two sources of signal turn on. YES I know my oil pressure gauge reads 0, it's a broken sensor that bounces around randomly. Also if you notice in the video the bass doesn't kick in on this song till my rear door shuts. That happened on it's own! lol! ALL OF THIS IS WITH MY MOTOROLA ATRIX 2 PHONE SORRY IF IT'S SHAKEY OR DISTORTED, I PROMISE IN PERSON IT SOUNDS CRYSTAL CLEAR! Here is where my subs it tearing, still sounds good but I need to try and find a replacement before I can go HAMM on this! goodvibez
Well the next phase is installing my led light bars. Gotta make some custom brackets for um' first. Took my bumper off to make it alot easier for myself Here's the goodies!! Should have them installed by the weekend...I hope lol Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. goodvibez
Got it all in today, just not wired up but heres how I got on with it.Got some 1" flat strap from home depo and grabed thors hammer and started bending up some brackets. Here is how they fit in, came out pretty good for not measuring anything and just using a vice and a hammer:) Then used the left over and added a brace for the center Welded it then drilled the rest of my holes. Painted it just for the heck of it, and then just did a double check. Then bolted the bracket to the bumper. Then lights to bracket. Came out alright, I didn't have to cut or drill anything on my truck, I was able to use all factory bolt locations and that made it nice. The bracket was more for giving the bottom led bar more support rather than just bolt it to the plastic and have it jiggle around when I'm off road at night. It weighs more than you think. Then they also worked out well for mounting the top two. Now I just need to finish wiring them up Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. goodvibez
So finally wired up the lights tonight, and man they are bright!! They need to be adjusted a bit, but for now they aare just fine. It is impossible to get a good pic of these at night. Didn't realize that the led's look like an angry face till I lit them up but I kinda like it. Yeah Like I said kinda hard to get a good picture.
