I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. N9neMillahhh
Well they don't have the specs out yet...and I will have a Singer 250A with his overdrive pulley with a Redtop under the hood and probably two runs knu cca to a khc800 in the trunk, plus the big 3 of course. Singer said that his 250A is ideal for 4-5kw systems and he's credible. Does all that sound good to you guys? I don't want overkill so I don't need an XS3100. I would recommend doing the math on what the amp will be drawing at it's Ohm load. Then seeing how much much current is possible to transfer through CCA or OFC, cause I don't remember them right now, to see what runs you need to do. And MOST importantly get a reliable volt meter. I suggest buying a SMD VM-1 especially with the discounts going on for it right now. SMD coupon i think is $10 off, and sending in you old - broken or working - volt meter gets you $25 off each one sent in. shogen
Although it is nice to see you want to help Felton .... stop giving bad advice, without seeing the "EXACT" requirement for the Z.4 I wouldn't go beyond 1.5 cubes per 10" because that would be kinda ridiculous .... Please read up some more before someone listens and loses a subwoofer or more....
