N9neMillahhh
So I've been researching into the Z v.4 and I saw that this guy has a 12" on a 3500D @ 1 ohm and @ .5 ohm loads, and the .5 ohm load makes it unreal. So should I get two of these powered by a 3500D v2? Or should I only use one? 1 Quote 02 Lexus IS300 (2JZ FTW) Mids/Highs: JL Audio C5 6.5s all around Mids/Highs Amp: JL Audio HD 600/4 Subs: four SA-8v2s in 3.8cubes @ 32hz Sub Amps: SAZ3k Battery: Huge Interstate Batteries relocated to trunk About 80ft. of 1/0 OFC.... Mikhail Felton
Depends on your box type and size.. The smaller thge box the more power u can add but remember this is only useful if your amp gains are correct and you know what u are doing.. But in real world you wouldn't need the extra power unless you looking for some extra dbs in SPL.. And one of those amps could power 2 Zv4 subs. N9neMillahhh
Well my max dimensions are 40"w by 20"d by 15"t and I'm getting a pair of the 10s cause 10s sound the best in my car. Should I run them at 1 ohm then? And how big of a box should it be? Mikhail Felton
I would say 2cu ft per sub if ported and 1 ohms is good for them.. N9neMillahhh
Thanks fellas. What tuning? Cause I know with some subs you can tune it to 36 and they'd still murder the lows. I like stuff like Tech N9ne, Jeezy, low stuff. Worst mistake of my car audio life (so far) was trading a ported box for a sealed box. Never gonna do sealed again. I like stuff like Tech N9ne, Jeezy, low stuff. thats how it was with my fi q 18 @ 38hz but i tune lower now to 33hz to get a lil more lows but i lose some highs.. I play suff like that too and i would say 33 hz is good for you too.. I gonna play around with mines when it comes but im going with 2 15's in a 8 cu ft box tune between 25-35hz not sure untill i can play with the subs.. N9neMillahhh
Yeah man for sure. I'll stick with 4 cu ft for the boxes and play around with it, I'll start at 33 then try 35, and 30 for the last shot. See what I like best. Thanks guys! Edit: Or if I love it enough I'll leave it as is! I kinda wanna hit 20 Hz though and watch my car turn to jello... N9neMillahhh
What would happen if I tuned it at 30 Hz?
