im doing 4 15's and theyre d1's so .5 ohm is really my only option besides going 2 ohms.

im wanting to do .5 ohm on each amp for 1 ohm nominal.

i think i worded wrong on my original post

If you "strapped" at .5ohm, that would mean that you are at .25ohms per amp. If you want a final load of 1ohm, then each would be at .5. Why dont you run 2 subs per amp at 1ohm?

Strapping? It will cut the final load in 1/2 for each amp

With 4 d1's you can do 2 subs on each amp at 1ohm then gain match

didnt even fuckin think of that :noob:

thanks sir

6 3100's is a lot, but knowing exactly how you'll be wiring would help tons to get you a real answer.

the best way to do it is to run 2 subs per amp at 1 ohm, like tacomaguy suggested, would this still mean theyd be "strapped" or would i need separate RCA's to ea amp?

ive never ran 2 amps before so this is new to me

holly shit. if you strap 2 amps at .5 ohm you will toast everything. strap at 2 ohms to get 1 ohm of each

I had a thread like this awhile ago asking what I would need for 10k my question now is what I'll need for 2 5k's strapped at .5 ohm for a final load of 1ohm.
Will 6 d3100s and a d3400 up front be sufficient with a 220a alt?

seems like everyone is failing to see how low is he trying to strap

You'll be fine. I m running 8k+ on a 270XP, an XSD1200, and two XS3100's, with drop barely hitting 13v.

Ken are you running your amps at .25 ohms?

I agree
