Twin-turbo's and ridiculously high gear ratios help that. How does a high gear ratio make a car quick? One word.. torque At least, I think lol A lower gear makes you quick higher gear makes you fast. Yes torque is where it's at. but gear will do more than torque any day. Yea, I dont know much about trannies and gear ratios. LOL What I interpret is that the higher the gear ratio is, the lower the RPM at any given speed haha.. I know, my knowledge is basic. Two exact cars, one with 3.55 rear gears, and one with 4.11 rear gears, the car with 4.11 gears will accelerate faster.
