We call each other the n word but it's not the same as using it to bully or punk black people. Its not the n word with -er at the end that was made to degrade black people. Its the n word with the -a at the end. And why we took it from slave owners and used it, is because its not the same thing as being verbally harassed. I guess it is a bad word either way.
