Krakin
PCB is on its way! Once again, need to get a power supply built.. https://scontent-b-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-/quote] What is this for? Can I have a little back story? For the past while I have been studying amplifier designs, this is just a simple design of a single channel amplifier without a power supply (because I haven't been able to find out a way to get a footprint of a transformer on there yet). I think all but 2 of the transistors are outdated, so that might become an issue later on if I decide to make this for myself. It won't be for car audio (at least until I figure out how to build a power supply for 12v DC in). Quote Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. JP-12
Met this kid the other day when I was waiting to go to class and he said "I was just drivin and my shit stopped slappin bro" Now I don't know a whole lot about car audio but I wanted to look at his setup, this is what I saw lol There's some old speaker wire connected with some 4 ga for the power wire and speaker wire connected to 8 ga for the ground.. This was in the trunk. The ran the hi/lo from the rear speaker and there were 2 of em, one hooked up off of another. It was really wierd haha I was surprised there were no fires. Oh and there was no fuse on the power line. He Had some hifonics woofers that had some HUGE plastic covers over the magnet that fell off into the box and were just chillin in there lol
