OrionStang
I fill up at 1/4 tank and add 8 oz. of Torco race fuel booster to each tank. A case of 6 bottles of Torco costs $125 and lasts 24 fill-ups, about $10 extra per tank. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
Miguels
what about nitro fuel? i used 114 racing fuel to mix with gasoline but at $85 a 5 gallon it didnt take me much to stop using it. nitro fuel is like $30 a gallon. the racing fuel is like $115 now if not more Quote my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
OrionStang
Race fuel is a waste if you don't have a tune for it. 2 Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
Broke_Audio_Addict
I hope you were using unleaded. Race fuel is legit I used to run 100 octane unleaded I think it was vp-100 was $8 a gallon years ago I can't imagine what it is now. Here is the most important thing though unless your car is tuned for and requires higher octane fuel you're wasting money. Miguels
car was high compression and was detonating with 91 octane. we used vp fuel too. it was unleaded.. and only mixed it to go mess around at the track. OrionStang
While the above is true, running 2 or 3 octane higher can eliminate issues like knock. Which could lead to engine failure if severe enough. This is why I run Torco, the slightest knock could explode a 4.6 piston. Miguels
we stroke that mach 1 and left the compression at 12. i think it had a 750 demon on it. when we added my 850 double pumper it woke that fucker up.
