Seems about right because my kid is literally boiling right in front of me. Also I can tell you with my hand if my kid is warmer than normal. I bet you I can get close number wise, it's not like it's a huge range of numbers oh you can tell but to say the kid has 250 degree fever is not so accurate. 102 can be life threatening lol but you can honestly tell when someone is sick just by looking at them.. now if the kid wants to skip school he can get his forehead on a lamp and get it hot enough. you touch it and think he/she has a fever.
