i went to the gym after work and damn i seen some nice asses. some chick had black tights with black thong. you could see everything when she bent down to do her dead lifts it was a nice view. she also did it on purpose. she could have bent over with her ass towards the tinted window but she would rather have her ass at us.. she knew what was up since she would smile at us and in a few cases followed us to the other side of the gym where she continued to do squats.. for sure im going to try and get a number next time i head there

this is inaccurate and should not be going around the net.. no AR-15 is an assault rifle. they are a sporting rifle.. post like this dont help at all and gives a reason for the leaders to push the ban of it..stop recognizing it as an assault rifle. M-16 and M4 are the assault rifles

by the way.. some are piston operated and they also sell the kit to convert to piston

AR is an assault rifle.

Modern Sporting Rifle Facts PFC-175.gif

Pocket Fact Card

The modern sporting rifle, based on the AR-15 platform, is widely misunderstood. Why? Confusion exists because while these rifles may cosmetically look like military rifles, they do not function the same way. Also, groups wanting to ban these rifles have for years purposely or through ignorance spread misinformation about them to aid their cause.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation asks you to be an informed gun owner and to use the following facts to correct misconceptions about these rifles. Remember, that if AR-15-style modern sporting rifles are banned, your favorite traditional-looking hunting or target shooting semi-automatic firearm could be banned, too.

  • AR-15-platform rifles are among the most popular firearms being sold. They are today's modern sporting rifle.

  • The AR in "AR-15" rifle stands for ArmaLite rifle, after the company that developed it in the 1950s. "AR" does NOT stand for "assault rifle" or "automatic rifle."

  • AR-15-style rifles are NOT "assault weapons" or "assault rifles." An assault rifle is fully automatic -- a machine gun. Automatic firearms have been severely restricted from civilian ownership since 1934.

  • If someone calls an AR-15-style rifle an "assault weapon," he or she either supports banning these firearms or does not understand their function and sporting use, or both. Please correct them. "Assault weapon" is a political term created by California anti-gun legislators to ban some semi-automatic rifles there in the 1980s.

  • AR-15-style rifles look like military rifles, such as the M-16, but function like other semi-automatic civilian sporting firearms, firing only one round with each pull of the trigger.

  • Versions of modern sporting rifles are legal to own in all 50 states, provided the purchaser passes the mandatory FBI background check required for all retail firearm purchasers.

  • Since the 19th century, civilian sporting rifles have evolved from their military predecessors. The modern sporting rifle simply follows that tradition.

  • These rifles' accuracy, reliability, ruggedness and versatility serve target shooters and hunters well. They are true all-weather firearms.

  • Chamberings include .22, .223 (5.56 x 45mm), 6.8 SPC, .308, .450 Bushmaster and about a dozen others. Upper receivers for pistol calibers such as 9 mm, .40, and .45 are available. There are even .410 shotgun versions.

  • These rifles are used for many different types of hunting, from varmint to big game. And they're used for target shooting in the national matches.

  • AR-15-style rifles are no more powerful than other hunting rifles of the same caliber and in most cases are chambered in calibers less powerful than common big-game hunting cartridges like the 30-06 Springfield and .300 Win. Mag.

  • The AR-15 platform is modular. Owners like being able to affix different "uppers" (the barrel and chamber) to the "lower" (the grip, stock).

  • And, they are a lot of fun to shoot!

by the way.. do you know who named them assault rifles? none other then Adolf Hitler on his propaganda

The term "Assault Rifle" is generally attributed to Adolf Hitler, who for propaganda purposes used the German word "Sturmgewehr" (which translates to 'assault rifle'), as the new name for the MP43, subsequently known as the Sturmgewehr 44 or StG 44.[8][12][13][14][15][16] Other sources dispute that Hitler had much to do with coining the new name besides signing the production order.[17] The StG 44 is generally considered the first selective fire military rifle to popularize the assault rifle concept. Today, the term assault rifle is used to define firearms sharing the same basic characteristics as the StG 44.[citation needed]

In a strict definition, a firearm must have at least the following characteristics to be considered an assault rifle:[18][19][20]

  • It must be an individual weapon
  • It must be capable of selective fire
  • It must have an intermediate-power cartridge: more power than a pistol but less than a standard rifle or battle rifle
  • Its ammunition must be supplied from a detachable box magazine[21]
  • And it should have an effective range of at least 300 metres (330 yards)

the AR variant is not select fire

For example:

  • Select-fire M2 Carbines are not assault rifles; their effective range is only 200 meters.[22]
  • Select-fire rifles such as the FN FAL battle rifle are not assault rifles; they fire full-powered rifle cartridges.
  • Semi-automatic-only rifles like variants of the Colt AR-15 are not assault rifles; they do not have select-fire capabilities.
  • Semi-auto rifles with fixed magazines like the SKS are not assault rifles; they do not have detachable box magazines and are not capable of automatic fire.

The U.S. Army defines assault rifles as "short, compact, selective-fire weapons that fire a cartridge intermediate in power between submachine gun and rifle cartridges."

assault riffles main intention for manufacture was to assault.. AR main reason for manufacture was for sporting. 2 different things. my AR's are not assault rifles since they haven't assault anyone and was not intended to do so
