He'll never forget the feeling of that pain shooting up his spine. Disagree. You might have experience putting pressure on your tail bone, but that kid wasn't hurt. He was scared. And his fear froze him. To me, it looks like the dad got fed up and did the drastic thing to show him it doesn't hurt that much.
