Merge where you can. If you use your turn signal, they will jam you up for sure. It depends on the situation. If the lane has ended, you should have merged alot sooner like everyone else. If you jumped out of line to try to get ahead, then it should be hard to get back in. If you just took the on ramp and you have to merge, all bets are off. Do what you can, when you can. Sometimes it turns into a game of chicken. Seems nobody wants a 35 inch donut mark on their door. Lol

I don't know why people get so antsy with the merges. It doesn't make sense to merge a mile before hand. Just zipper at the merge point, stop reinventing the wheel.
