BL 15 sub box design

Recommended Posts

So I have recently upgraded from P315's to a Fi audio BL15 and I want to build a box for it tuned to 33Hz. The dimensions of my truck are L38xH17xD16. Any ideas guys?

Yes buy I am in the process of selling the amp and I plan on buying the Rockford Fosgate P1000X or the T1500-1bdcp for the BL15

So here is a suggestion, really tight box, went a little deeper:

Enclosure Specifications:

Fb = 33 Hz
Vb = 3.2 ft^3

External Height = 17 in
External Width = 38 in
External Depth = 17.25 in

Port Width = 3 7/8 in

Cut Sheet List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.
* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

2 x Front & Back (3 parts) = 38 x 17

Left & Right Sides = 15 x 15 1/2

Top & Bottom = 38 x 15

L Port Internal Assembly Parts:

Front to Back = 11 1/8 x 15 1/2
Extension = 20 1/4 x 15 1/2

Assembly guide (generic dimensions):

Important notes:

- The 45s if you want to do them are 2 1/2" wide except the one/ones inside the port, if you want that let me know.

- All boxes built outside the vehicle need to fit in their way in not just have the right dimensions.

- The port needs 3 7/8" of free airspace in front of it for proper operation.

- Setting your amp subsonic filter to 28Hz is suggested.

That looks great. What is the dimension for that brace in the middle? Also, would it change the tune at 33Hz if I put the 45's in the box?
