Tahoe 2013/2014/2015 RF, FI, XS, SQ, TM, etc...

Recommended Posts

Redid the amp rack AGAIN, trying to find something that sits well with me. Even this one is still just kind of meh to me. Wires still kind of everywhere and not everything in yet but I had to get some tunes going.

Also, completely rebuilt a new box, same dimensions but I hated how I added the carpet and panels onto the old one so i just started over, this time it is painted matching the interior and is flawless. Didn't take pictures because i just wanted to get it done.

reset gains with -7.5 and will most likely not make any changes any time soon, if anything I will just yank it out and be done for a while, or if something fries or gets wrecked will most likely just yank it out and start over, fuck it

As of late I've been kind of losing interest in this hobby

This last one was just showing rattles of the RF amps from my other thread. Lost some other videos due to errors with camcorder or computer, oh-well, they are all mostly the same just different songs, lol

Dude......Hell yeah thing sounds like it pounds!! Haha glad to to see the rf's are taking some abuse....holding up to the vibration it looks like too!

soo jelouse you have beats playing!! Ahh should be rollin in two-three weeks but damn I havent had tunes for like 8 months.

Again I'm happy for ya man!

Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are!

I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating!

Yea, the rack the RF amps are on is screwed to the box making it about 3 layers thick of MDF on that side, 2 on all others except baffle that is also 3. brad nails, wood glue, etc.etc. Batteries are also on a shelf keeping things in place as well.

Needless to say there really isn't vibration on the RF shelf, apart from whatever there is anywhere in there that is normal for any vehicle with bass. I can set a ink pen or penny on that shelf and it does NOT jump around. The amps aren't getting rattled to shit but there is enough air movement and whatever else vibration that the plastic does that. /sigh it's annoying

Definitely makes me wanna redo it

Hey guys, should I lose the luggage racks? What about the bug shield/wind deflector thing? What are you guys thoughts opinions?

Also, How do I safely remove these window flare things? The black things right above all my windows? I used "goo gone" on my silverado and it made the paint dull as shit, I was something to remove them that is very, very safe for paint/clear coat and yes they are held on by da stickies. Do you guys like or hate them? Not just looks but function? I could care less about them and they make my A-pillar (blind spot) fucking huge.

I do live in MN and drive in snow winter all year round. Does the luggage rack help with flex? Also, if I did remove it I would only prolly silicone the holes to add it back when I sold the vehicle. Yes, the cheap shitty way but it sits so high I'm not sure who would be looking up there and for what.

ANyways, looking for some others thoughts and opinion on these three things

EDIT: oh yea, no plans of dropping it or raising it up, yes it's 4WD if it matters to anyone. I don't do sticker bombs because I don't want to stand out to the police but a couple of these little things would make it more sleek looking to me perhaps.

If it's the goo you're trying to get off I use the plastic putty knifes you find at home depo by the paint usually by the chemicals like acetone and such. Pretty sure 3M makes an adhesive remover that works great if not use windex for keeping the scraper lubed occasionally using a knife to sharpen the edge. At least that's what I do for removing trim panels.

I don't think they look bad nice for when is rainy and you need to crank the windows to keep the windows from fogging up. ... don't have that problem he in AZ lol

Debadging the emblems and door trim along the side usually cleans them up nicely. But they serve s purpose for keeping people from slamming their doors into yours. ..Idk man is preference
