Correcto. But a good battery and/or alternator is/are always the best choices.

alright update time !

i got the deck in sounds great

bought a sundown saz 1500d and its the v.3 off of craigslist for only $300

now i need to buy a box and the sa-10s

For the price pay someone to build you a optimal box for your subs. Enclosure plays such a huge role in how your system sounds.. Don't settle with a shitty prefab box.

Completely true. An amazing sub can sound like shit and make you form an opinion about that sub or brand and ruin it for you just because the box was bad. I would work with some designing and find a local buddy who does wood work and have him build it. That's what I do, I design it and he builds it.

From our previous conversations you know what i think. Dodge Quad cabs have limited options for subwoofer and amp placement. I say console with a X12 and amp rack under the back seat. Im finishing up on another for a 15 sealed.
