eazy
Well I just finished (never really finished) my install on my 99 Grand Marquis. It's my first car and my 3rd ported box. I went with an Fi Q15 with BP Power, a Sundown Audio SAE-1000D, and a Sundown Audio SAX-100.4 for the speakers. I've got a size 65 Duralast Gold battery under the hood, along with 2 Kinetik HC1800's in the trunk (all 3 wired in parallel with knukonceptz kolossus 1/0 gauge), big three with 1/0, and an Excessive Amperage 250A alternator. The box is 4 cubes @ 32Hz with 58.5 sq inches of port. It's got a double thick baffle and I did the self leveling fiberglass trick for the port angles. Now for the pictures... 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Build Thread Pioneer DEH-P5000UB (4) Infinity Kappa 682.7CF's Sundown Audio SAE-1000D Sundown Audio SAX-100.4 Fi Q15 with BP power in 4 cubes @ 32Hz (2) Kinetik HC1800's Duralast Gold Group 65 Excessive Amperage 250A alternator Knukonceptz Kolossus 1/0 gauge Elemental Designs eDead v1SE²

eazy
I chose the strangely shaped box for a couple reasons. I needed my spare tire accessible, and I needed to use all available space to get 4 cubes ported without putting the sub too close to the trunk wall and without making the box too tall. This install wasn't really for looks, more functionality... I don't show my car or compete. Thanks for looking! 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Build Thread Pioneer DEH-P5000UB (4) Infinity Kappa 682.7CF's Sundown Audio SAE-1000D Sundown Audio SAX-100.4 Fi Q15 with BP power in 4 cubes @ 32Hz (2) Kinetik HC1800's Duralast Gold Group 65 Excessive Amperage 250A alternator Knukonceptz Kolossus 1/0 gauge Elemental Designs eDead v1SE²

eazy
great work! Nice install! How are you liking that sundown amp as compaired to the kicker that you had in it before. Actually that kicker in the picture was a 350.2 I was powering my components with, but I had two 400.1's powering two CVR12's and the Fi Q15 and 1000D are louder... wish I got the 1500D though. 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Build Thread Pioneer DEH-P5000UB (4) Infinity Kappa 682.7CF's Sundown Audio SAE-1000D Sundown Audio SAX-100.4 Fi Q15 with BP power in 4 cubes @ 32Hz (2) Kinetik HC1800's Duralast Gold Group 65 Excessive Amperage 250A alternator Knukonceptz Kolossus 1/0 gauge Elemental Designs eDead v1SE²
