Shigshwa
The DC 3.5k only requires one 0 gauge wire to it, but will this wire be sufficient for the job? I believe the amp draws 243 amps of current, and I remember seeing a chart of maximum amp loads that said a 0 gauge wire can handle about 150A of current safely. Would the wire overheat? or does this vary wildly from wire to wire? I'm asking this because my amp seems to cut into protect after about 30 sec of full blast music. Karkov
Should be fine but lots get those 2 into one pieces made. I would do 2 runs of OFC 1/0 to the back of vehicle for sure but 1 into amp would be fine. 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. srool
High quality OFC 1/0 should have the ability of 300-375 amps (depends which cable), so go with one of the good OFC's (SHCA, Shok, Knu etc.) and you're just fine. You could also go with 2 runs of CCA 1/0, or SHCA CCA 2/0, or welding cable OFC 2/0. All should work without any limit.
Carbon
One should be fine, like nearly everyone has already said above. I always like to overkill electrical. I have 8 runs of SHCA 1/0 going into my DC 5.0K

Stephen Dunnington
hate to bump in with a noob question, but how can you make more runs to the amp if it only has one power input? distributor block?

I have 8 runs of SHCA 1/0 going into my DC 5.0K Do you mean 4 Positives and 4 negatives ? Did you feel a big difference with it? I also have DC 5.0K and dual inputs but didnt run another wires yet.
