Cazz
hey my mids and highs are playing bass and when I turn up the volume it all distorts and sounds horrible, it was working fine with no bass playing through the mids and highs until we changed over the sub they started to play bass. we didn't change any settings on the head unit just took one sub out and put another in. any ideas what could have happened? Skullz
Sounds like you hooked up the sub out up to your mids and highs amp instead of the sub amp. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
Cazz
Everything was fine with no mids playing bass I didn't change nothing other that the speaker wire off one sub onto another, no settings changed but mids play bass
Cazz
ok so we just messed with some settings on the head unit and we found out that if we go on the x-over we can turn the Band: Low, Frequency: 20Hz, Slope: Flat, Band: Mid, Frequency: 200Hz, Slope: 18, Band: High, Frequency: 200Hz, Slope: 24, this seemed to remove the bass from the mids. if the slope is flat on all the bands the mids will play bass.
