Same shit different day, I do have a question that may have been indirectly answered already: Electrically it all seems identical, but what about cooling and imp rise? Are the coils staying cooler since they see a 2ohm load? Does it help at all with imp rise? You need to read the ENTIRE thread again. Cuz you didn't catch it. Gregg Elias Posted May 18, 2015 Report Share Posted May 18, 2015 You guys know your stuff. So I have a dual 4 ohm sub that I want to give 2000 or more. My amp is rated 2000 at 1 and 1500 at 2. Strapping and running my coils in parallel will give me 4000 watts. A bit much. What outputs would I use? Positive from one amp and negative from the other?
