Any body run there mids @ 8ohms and is the sound quality better/different

I run 2 8ohm in parallel on Ch 1 and 2. If i run the 4 8ohm spekers series parallel to 1 ch will it sound as loud but clearer?

Just curious

The 12" and horns in my car are 8 ohms. When I put the 15" midbass in they will be 8 ohm too. Amps run cooler with less stress. Never done a side by side comparison of sq between 8 and 4 ohms. It's more of a personal preference than anything.

I'm more experienced in concert and instrument audio than car audio. I found this.

http://www.premierguitar.com/articles/Does_Speaker_Impedance_Affect_Tone.

From experience and this article, the tone will vary between impedences of the speakers themselves, but the changing of impedence the amp sees will vary sensitivity and volume you hear from the speakers.

My final answer: Try it out and see if you'll like the speakers with that extra punch.
