The box is currently being built by DaveTheBoxGuy, it will have 3 interchangeable ports (20Hz/28Hz/45Hz). For now, while I sit and wait, I am going to post my current set up just to show you all some of the work I have done so far. I don't have all the pictures since some things were done a little while ago such as, deadening, changing my door speakers, wiring etc. but I will eventually tear some things off and show you how I installed everything. Here it is.... Here is what my car looked like brand new.. Tint is 30% and hubcaps now plasti-dipped.. De-badged and replaced the stock antenna with a "shorty." 2012 Ford Focus Sedan: Audiopipe, Sundown, Focal, XS Power....
grayta
I found another 2012 Ford Focus here on the forum and he fit a XS D6500. Well, if he could fit one, I could fit one! lol. Anyways, I haven't done the BIG 3 yet but that is on the list of things to do. Like I said earlier, some things were done a while ago such as the wiring.. 2012 Ford Focus Sedan: Audiopipe, Sundown, Focal, XS Power....
grayta
Here is the ugly stock radio.. This is the Metra dash kit I bought.. I did some modding to my stock clock area. At first I had an Irish flag and then I added my Stinger Volt meter with some vinyl behind it. Here are some of the head units I went through.. Jensen VM9215BT and the Kenwood X995. Installed my PAC-LC1 in the Dash, you can kind of see it on the left of my volt meter. Installing my Clarion EQS, which is now installed in the trunk because I really only used it for the pre-amps and the sub vol and main vol. This is where I had it before putting it in the trunk. Here is the Kenwood DDX370. Here it is all installed. Moved the Clarion to the trunk. The PAC-LC1 in the dash custom mount. That is super glue around it, I got it off already and will take another pic of it soon to show you how clean it looks. In case you didn't know, finger nail polish remover really helps with removing super glue lol. 2012 Ford Focus Sedan: Audiopipe, Sundown, Focal, XS Power.... grayta
A little while ago I purchased a YOBO FC16, its a portable Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) that runs on the actual cartridge and not roms or emulators. I had an idea about putting it in my car for a while now. Now that I have a head unit with a 6.1 inch screen with av inputs I figured why not try it out. I also thought, who the hell has a super nintendo in their car??? lol Well, now I can say I DO . Here are the pics. I am putting it inside my glove box that way I can hide the system. The unit comes with 2 wireless controllers shaped like the old snes controllers, a tv input and a charging cable. It has a lithium battery in it so it doesn't need to be plugged in all the time. I only have one game for it now which is Super Mario All Stars, which has all the classic Marios on it. I will buy more games soon for some multiplayer action. lol To make all this happen I bought a cheap inverter that plugs in to a cigarette lighter and an extension cord. The install: Had to pop this off to run the cables to the glove box. I was able to hide the little inverter/charger underneath the center console. You can't really see it, but its just to get a general idea. Plugging everything in.. and to see if it works before I start putting everything up.. It works! lol Making it look neat and hiding it in the glove box with velcro. I ran the charger plug near my shifter/ parking break. The console tells me when the battery is low so then all I have to do is plug it in to let it charge and take it out when it's done charging. Here is a Photobucket video of it in action.. Just click the picture. It was kind of windy so don't mind the sound. 2012 Ford Focus Sedan: Audiopipe, Sundown, Focal, XS Power....
grayta
Here is my current audio set-up. I will have to take pictures of my Infinity Kappas later but here is the sub stage and amps. I have to give all credit to DaveTheBoxGuy for making my box. Other than that I have done everything else myself. 3.3ft3 tuned to 33Hz with a 6" aeroport.. Sundown Zv3 15" installed. Hifonics BRX 2400.1D Hifonics BRX 2400.1D with the Hifonics ZXi 80.4 At first I had it Sub Up, Port Driver Side. I hit a 141.4 @ 44Hz sealed on the dash like this. Now it is back to Sub Up, Port Back and I am not sure if I gained or went down. Wires are a little messy because I am getting ready for my new build and have this all in there temporary for some bass. I WOULD GO CRAZY WITHOUT MY BASS!!! lol Here is the video of me burping a 141.4 @ 44Hz sealed on the dash. I got smashed by the other car but thats okay, I just a beginner in the audio world Here is some flex. Not too much but about half way through the video my windshield goes nuts! Not bad for a single 15 in the trunk! And again this is a temp set-up my wires are a mess and will be cleaned up once my box comes in which should be next week or the following week. http://youtu.be/T7WcC0U24Sw 2012 Ford Focus Sedan: Audiopipe, Sundown, Focal, XS Power....
