Stephen Dunnington
The post is titled what is too much daily RMS. IMO there is no such thing as too much. Bass is one of those things that we get used to and our tolerance of the type of shit that takes the air out of your lungs grows. If you are like most of us, you will ALWAYS want to be louder than what you are. Is 5k tolerable for long rides? I assume you mean a true 5k on just your subs. In an accord I am not sure if your electrical will support everything that would be going on to feed your sub amp alone enough voltage/amperage to keep it running at 5kw (music is dynamic so it would vary, but that's another discussion) plus your other amp(s), and the vehicle. Some could tolerate it some wouldn't be able to. I have a buddy who would bail when I went full tilt with only about 1200w going to 3 12's and IMO that system left much to be desired. Sorry if I rambled too much but those aren't yes no questions across every scenario. Understandable, I'm just trying to get a general idea. My stock electrical is far from powering 5k rms, very far. I'll be throwing a 200-270 alt, 2 d3100's in the trunk and the biggest battery up front.

SnowDrifter
I'll soon have 8k on mine. I don't necessarily have it that loud every waking moment of every day, but the power is there. smashedz28
See how long you like daily driving a car that's falling apart from bass. I like serious systems but for my daily driver I decided to keep it mild.
PsychoSoundz
i would say any thing from 4 to 8k depending on install can be great for daily. especially if your into not slugging around TOO much extra weight etc. my system is only 2k, but im going to 8k daily once i get a bigger vehicle. go big or go home

There's no rule saying you can't put an MDF roof and some fiberglass on the floors of a daily. Cover it up with trim panels, make it look pretty, make it last ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
Josef344
lol this is a open ended question, the answer is answered by your own self. You can have 10,000 watts daily ifyour pockets and ears can handle it.
