Bought a second can and applicators today, shook the can worse than Britney Spears or Michael Jackson shook their kids, and the paint was thiiiiiiiick this time. Like normal paint that someone mixed some saw dust into to give it grit thick, whereas the other can was really runny like lightly thickened water paint. 3rd and 4th coats are applied now, anything else is just going to have to be touch ups with a brush because I went through almost the whole can doing these coats. Lbox88 Posted May 14, 2015 Author Report Share Posted May 14, 2015 Aaaalllllllmost there, put a little more paint on earlier tonight and want to make sure it's dry so I'm waiting until tomorrow to put it in. But in the meantime, I went ahead and put all the wiring in place, ran the mounting screws in and trimmed off the paint/wood that bunched up so I will get a good seal, and moved everything out of the way so I can back in tomorrow and get everything hooked up inside. Just have to vacuum out the box and maybe take the leaf blower to it so I can be sure I knock out any loose sawdust or other particles before I put the subs in. Lbox88 Posted May 21, 2015 Author Report Share Posted May 21, 2015 Just a couple voltage drop vids now that I have everything put back together. Does pretty good now at speed, used to be able to drop it to the mid 13's driving, and low 13's at idle. Will have to do another once I get a chance to see how it does at idle. You don't have to watch the whole vids either, should edit them down because after the first 10 or so of playing that's about as low as it's going to go. I knew it was quiet by comparison, now I just know by how much Was 140.x at the windshield, 138.x at the headrest, and I screwed up in the kick with a different song I thought would work, got a 134.x Won 2nd place for my class though.... .... out of 2.
