I figured this would be a great time to do my first recone. I looked online and Brandonbkd suggested to use a SoundQubed re-cone kit. Why not PM SPLaudio on Caraudio:com....he does custom recones and all kinds of stuff. He built my 8. Nice guy easy to work with and can do whatever you want. Rated at 500 rms I didnt believe that this sub would need two spiders. But yeah ill look that up since i havent ordered anything yet haha. Chris Hammer Posted August 16, 2013 Report Share Posted August 16, 2013 Way more in play then just voice coil diamters. length of the coil, spacing to the spiders, cone depth surround width all kinds of other dimensions and measurments that would have to line up. SPLaudio would probably be able to do anything you wanted in any size form 10-18" with those motors and new baskets, and could rebuil the original size with some specs taken off the basket. Probably increase power handling etc. I would definitely shoot him a PM....He was super cool to me and helped me alot when it came to reconing etc. Good stand up guy and thats the real reason I always put his name out there when people are looking for recones or parts.
