Audiofanaticz PC "upgrading watercooling Page12" updated 2/3/16

Recommended Posts

Got bored tonight and started adding up costs of components thus far.

Total is about 3,525 invested. Thats not including shipping, and current prices (i know somethings where a few bucks more when I bought them).

That price is also not including the new watercooling stuff I started to buy, nor is it including the things like the plexi, leds, switches, flexfiller, bondo, sandpaper, and other random supplies being used.

Krakin's Home Dipole Project

http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

Sadly he can rebuild yet, but he really cant get much more than he has now :P

Sure you could go spend 2100$ on 3 new 780ti's, or 3000$ on 3 titan blacks, but performance increase will be marginal from what he is already using.

Worst part is since his current 780 DC2 from asus he would need new waterblocks too since they use a non reference pcb :(

So I got the check mate right now :D
However even in 2016 Im sure Ill be trying to piece the rest of this waterloop together. hahahaa

Tho You could buy 3 sexy 1440P Asus ROG 27inch monitors with Gsync and 144hz refresh rates :P

Call dibs on those 1080p's lol

I like how this is starting to look. The dark acrylic cover panel should still keep the LED's from getting too bright and keep the front looking clean. Definitely unique but still along the lines of the original design and not too flashy. Can't wait to see how it looks when that front panel is all together and the rig is fired up.

wtf is lolcats?

I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers.

I was hoping for 150 :(.

I was hoping she would let me put it in her butt

Where did you order your water cooling parts from ?

So far everything ordered is from FrozenCPU, it was easy to find active working 5% and 10% off coupon codes, and the one mobo block they claim they can get which is out of stock forever and discontinued on other sites.

Im still waiting for that block but hopefully next week sometime they are thinking.

So far everything is going to be EK products, except tubing, liquid, and maybe fittings, but not sure yet..

I like that cover, legit.

Thanks

Yea, doing the plexi over the top like steve, because once you remove the drive bays, its about 1/4 inch difference in height, so it looks nasty even if your using just 1 5.25inch bay.

Tho steve used those plastic clip connectors, I used neo magnets (less prone to breaking if the panel is on the floor and you kick it or walk on it or something stupid).

I ended up molding the SMD meters to my front case and filling in the gaps, theres no going back to the stock look. its molded as one, Steve just glued his to some plexi to fit the 5.25inch bays. So similar out come, different approaches which was my goal. Even without the front panel similarities, a water cooled 900D using top of the line components all look the the same on the inside, so there will be a bit more plexi work being done i think yet.

The switches will be for interior lighting.

Also maybe hard to tell, but I even took the time to polish the outside edges of the plexi behind my mobo, and for the front panel.
