Wood
Hey SMD, so I finally came to a decision that I was going to run my setup active. Currently I'm in a build process but will be purchasing more things tomorrow (based on this thread, I'll have some direction) and I need you guys help.. My setup will consist of morel tempo 6 components for my front stage (purchasing this weekend) and 2 SA 12s for my substage running off a RF 1500bdcp. I know to run active I must have a channel to each speaker which means I'll need a 4 channel for my front stage.. My question to ya'll (yes I'm from Tx Lol) is should I look at getting the RF T400-4 or T600-4 ? the tempo 6s are rated at 120rms in which the 600-4 produces 100 @ 4ohm and the 400-4 produces 60 @ 4ohms. This is my first time running active so I'm concerned with the continuous power being with the passive or is it rated 120 either way? Also my concern is with the tweeter and how much power would go to them before frying... I plan to purchase my amp within the next couple days so I need you guys's knowledge so I'm comfortable with my investment... So you vote the 600-4 ? and also I read up that in SQ headroom is good, but I wasnt sure if the speakers was rated for the passive crossovers or what the can actually take, because I doubt the tweeters can take 100+ rms ?? And with that being said, how would I adjust accordingly? Because Im sure that tweeter couldnt take the full 100+ rms... or would it?? 2011 Nissan Altima aka Red Ruby HEADUNIT: Pioneer AVH X2700BS ELECTRICAL: -Singer 230a -Northstar gr34 -(2) Northstar SMS220 w/ Custom Terminals from 12V Metalworkz -100% Welding Cable FRONT STAGE:-(2 Sets) Hertz HSK165 -Hertz HSK130 -Ampere Audio 125.4 SUB STAGE: -(3) Sundown Audio SA REV2 12's -Ampere Audio 3800.1 V2 MISC (NON AUDIO RELATED): -Interior & Exterior Lights LED -Gloss Black Roof (PAINTED) -15% Front, 5% Rear Tint -Roof Spoiler -20" TSW Snettertons (20x8.5 front, 20x10 rear) -Custom Projector Retrofit (FX-R 3.0, 6.5k HID, Morimoto Mini H1 (faux projector), Quad Starry Night Halos) ----- COMING SOON!! -Aftermarket Fog Lights -Custom Painted Engine Covers My Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/169869-woods-2011-altima-aka-red-ruby-new-video-more-updates/page-109 Retrofit Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/185787-hid-projector-retrofitting-diy-by-wood/#entry2765346

Tecomah
Set your gains real low I.e. a good bit lower than what the dd-1 or o-scope says 750??! Yeah, fuck that. bcbrassard
Go with the T600-4 or 2 2channel amps. The T400-4 is a little low on wattage. Mine heats up some and even @ 75 rms it's still low for my T2652s. Upgrading to T3s this winter and a T400-2 for the mids. Then putting the T2s in kicker panels being ran from the T400-4 rear channel. All active.
OrzechNJ
get 600-4.. you will have more power for future upgrades.. sometimes Loud is NOT pretty Sounds like its safe to go ahead and bend that ass over.
