PaulPumpsBass
Ok... I just bought a couple Soundstream XXX-10000D amps today. Most likely I'm gonna run them with 4 - 12s or 4 - 15s in a trunk car, seriously considering 4 - Sundown Zv4's. But... my real question is, what kind of total alternator amperage would I need to get enough juice to the 2 XS Power D7500s? I don't know the ratio... n8ball2013
Are you running 18 volts. If not dont expect rated. Single power and ground? Expect abiut 3500 a piece out of em at 14 ish volts or less. They only make power at low load and high voltage. Either way dual alts is a good start as well as the twp 7500s. Id feel more comfortable with a 3rd 7500 or the equivalent 6 3100s though THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger. I was thinking dual alternators might be needed and probably 2 XS Power 7500s. I actually posted another topic like 45 minutes ago, about where to find a retailer/shop/anybody really, that has some of the Dual 0/1 Gauge inputs, into the 0/1 Gauge Stub. I realized with the single power and ground the amp wouldn't be getting all the voltage that it would want. 1994 Mazda RX7 with LS1 Swap and 2 - 10" Kicker L7's in Truck Boxes (because of extremely limited hatch space) 2003 GMC Yukon XL with 3 - 12" MTX 9500's and still has the third row seat (over 7.5 cu ft of enclosures behind third row) 1971 Chevrolet Nova with LS1 Swap (work in progress, most likely 4 - 12" Alpine Type R's as I already have them) 1961 Chevrolet Corvette Restomod with LS7 Swap (system upgrade will be one of the first things that I'll do) Solo Basshead For The Most Part, None Of My Close Friends Have A Passion For It, Nor The Money For It. CJ18
Lets just go with the worst case scenario and say you see a full 8000w from 1 of the amps. If you have s d7500s, I would want a 270a alt at the BARE MINIMUM. I would prefer to see something closer to a 350a alt. Now if you can only fit a single 270a alt, then you will need an additional D7500. I will send you a message about the inputs

I've never seen a dual alternator kit for that, and I was planning on getting a Supercharger on the Nova too, so a second alternator may cause issues. And... it's difficult to find H.O. Alternators for my engine, I saw one on Sound Solutions that's 270a that I was going to get.
