Hey everyone,

I'm new to the forum. I am doing a simple install in a 2000 Honda accord coupe. I have one of the older model jbl gto 1200 watt mono block amps with a 4ga run from the batt. With no light dimming. And I have an inexpensive Sony head unit running through an alpine ktp445u amp to my highs and mids which are memphis mclass 6.5s in front & 6x9in the back. My sub is a single sundown sa-12 and is seeing roughly 800 watts from that amp. But all that to get to the heart of the issue. I need a box. Or blue prints at least. I want the best box for a mixture of sound quality first but also some spl.

here are some basic space parameters.

height:15" or less

Width:30" or less.

Depth: variable. Up to 25"

I've read the SA-12 performs best with about 2-2.5 cu. ft tuned to about 35hz but I have never build a box before, so I definitely need some guidance. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Life's a trip. . . Don't fall.

if you go to re audios website you can use an awesome box calculator for free

it will even tell you what cuts of wood you need

I use it a lot when I build systems

but generally youll want to use about 2-2.25 cubes ittll do better

for example I have a sundown e8v3 and I have it in 1.3 cubes
