lots of little batts better than a few big batts???????r

D3100:

MAX Amps 5000

Doesn't look like double the battery to me.

Cost wise you can get roughly 3 d3100s OR 2 d7500s

With 2 d7500s, you get

Ah - 280

Rc - 560

Ca - 3400

With 3 d3100s:

Ah - 330

Rc - 711

Ca - 4080

So it looks like the same amount of money in d3100s will get you further than if you were to spend it in d7500s

3100s weigh what about 75-80 pounds?

7500 -100

3 3100s- 240 pounds

2 7500s- 200 pounds.

For an extra 40 pounds I still think I'm gonna do the 3100s

More smaller batteries will give you more instantaneous power, because when you buss them together it optimizes the internal pressure. If you had equal reserve the higher number of smaller batteries will be stronger by far. It will also be more expensive and more work.

So, about 22 D680s or 16 D925 or D975 would be a strong option.
