what RCAs are the best choice for me?

Recommended Posts

i have really horrible RCAs and im guessing those are the reason every time i turn my music all the way down i hear a buzz noise. i have a hifonics BRZ 1200 wired to my subs on some crappy RCAs i got in like a 4 gauge wire kit from a while ago. and then i have some more shitty RCAs going to my kicker ZX 550.2. i have been looking up alot about RCAs and have just realized that there are actually different kinds of RCAs. so i was looking at rockford for the best quality since they are a good brand and idk if i should get the twisted ones or a different kind.

these are the RCAs i plan on getting but idk if they would be right for my system. any info is appreciated.

I'm using the RFIT series, 3 sets right now. Haven't had any issues at all with them. I picked mine up from Sonic, http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_14622_Rockford-Fosgate-RFIT-16.html. Amazon actually has them mislisted, I was after a little cleaner look so went with the sheathed set. I've got a few other sets here at the house various lengths for after my LC1 gets here and whenever I decide to go the processor route.

What headunit do you have? What preouts are on it? We might be able to get you set up better.

D'Amore made a video about which kind of RCA you should use. And I've heard nothing but good things from Knukonceptz about their RCAs. I'd look into them.

hah thats funny i actually just watched that and that was why i posted this to make sure i was gonna get the right ones.

Yes. You've actually got 3 sets of preouts. Front, Rear, and sub. I'd run the 1700 off the sub channels, and the 550.2 on front depending on what your after mids wise instead of piggy backing them off one another.

thanks alot man. i feel stupid cause i had my RCAs going to the input of the hifonics and the kicker on the output of the hifonics.

Its not necessarily a bad thing. You lose some tuning capabilitys when you do it that way.. I remember doing my first system that way a few years back. The rca's you linked are still a good choice though. Knu's also good. It all just depends on your budget.

thanks for the advice. do you think there is much difference in the RFI-20 and the RFIT-20 cables? i kinda am on a budget so i would like to get the cheap ones but i would rather get the better shit and get the better quality ones but if there pretty much the same i would prob get the cheap ones
