Just got my VM-1 in the mail today. Ordered it through Amazon on Tuesday. Great deal, and fast service to my door. One question, if I want to mount it(which I do), it is not long enough. Do I just cut off the cig lighter plug and add some length of wire and directly wire it in? And where would be the best place to tap into, the HU, or all the way back to my amps?

yup go ahead and cut the cord....warranty is NOT void. I just did that so you guys could play with them out of the box and then when ready to go bigger, you can cut it off and tap in. For best results, IMO, send the wire back to your battery bank or even right at the amplifier itself.

Cool thanks. I actually just got to your other thread that say's go ahead and cut the cord, after the video showing voltage drop. Thanks for the input, and yes, 6.5 seconds after the mailman left, it was plugged in my car so I could check it out. (devil horns held high) ^o^

What size wire is that?
