for 1 thing 6.2 cubes is way to big for a 15

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

You have to also factor in box volume, back-pressure, ect..

Stick with the 900w rating.
