I'm currently running a crescendo 3500. I have 2 200a fuses inline in the front and rear. The back ones are under my

Box which would be a pain to take out. I'm curious if I can run a 5k or maybe a bc5500 with those fuses. I don't do comps. I don't pound the system 100% of the time. But when I do I wanna be able to push the subs. I have zv4 12's. I have a kinetik 2000, xs xp3000, 2 d3100, and a d3400 under hood if that helps.

That's what I'm afraid of. I used to own a 5500, not sure why I sold it. I had 2 250a fuses and never blew one, and has less batteries and made my own ground posts in rear.

Set your gains properly and give the amps good voltage, then you don't have to worry about blowing an amp.

You fuse for the amount of current that your WIRE can carry to protect the wire, not the amp. Fuse your wrote appropriately for what the wire manufacturer safely rated it to carry.

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

I have knukonceptz k flex wire. Rated to carry like 375a I believe. Voltage won't be an issue. I just want to know if I could still pound on a 5500 or even just a 5k with those 200a fuses.

Why do you want to push do much current through a 200A fuse? You said you don't compete, so there is no reason to not run as larger fuse like a 250A. Two 200A fuses will carry 400ish amps give or take. We are taking about under $10 for a couple of fuses here, what's the question even being asked for? A BC5500 could possibly blew a couple of 200A fuses, 250A fuses would be more suited.

I don't have a problem buying fuses. Just didn't want to go through the trouble of taking my box out.....

I gotcha, you did mention that they were hard to get to. I'd say fun the 200s and if they last, awesome. If they blow, then there is your answer :(

You might as well try it out though and see if they hold up. If the fuses do blow, when it comes time to replace them, you may think about making them more accessible somehow. Just a suggestion.

Hate to have to move box to get to fuse. I would upgrade to bigger fuse. Can you relocate fuse in rear to better location?

A 5500 is a 5k. In your posts You're making it seem like it's so much more but in reality it's got the same board as the DC 5k, AB 500.1 etc.

You never mentioned what impedance you'll be running the amp at. I'd say 1ohm you'd be fine. Half would be iffy.
