CleanSierra
Strangeduck is right on this, PLUS I learned something today. Xmax is taken into effect as well as the other obvious things like motor width and depth and effective Sd 1 Quote Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you. Daniel Harbeson
I have an email from them, the .12 you are referring to is the displacement excursion. He never really told me what the actually displacement from the sub in volume would be. When my x-12 came in it didn't have any spec sheets in it or anything for warranty. Just a sub and a sticker . They wont even put the specs up on the website for them. Bryan Chamberlain To Daniel Harbeson Sep 6 This message contains blocked images. Use a box calc online to get specifics. That subs displacement is 0.12cuft excursion, you're looking at around 3-4in *Thank You* Bryan Chamberlain Sundown Audio Public Liason/Tech support Edited October 14, 2013 by Daniel Harbeson

jimmydamoose
Just got off the phone maybe 15minutes ago with Brian from Sundown. Here are his words & #'s verbatim: f: 30Hz Port Area (14sqin per ft^3 of enclosure volume: 42in^2 Displacement : 0.12 Enclosure Volume : 3 ft^3 So I'm going to be going with the second specs altered a little to get that port area up to 42. I'll report back when its being cut/installed and how it performs.

jimmydamoose
Here is a teaser of the results of the proper box & fitment. This is boxV1, V2 will be recut using CNC routing table over winter break, cleaning up aesthetics & then that one will be wrapped in some leather of some sort to match the other interior bits. http://www.flickr.com/photos/jamesgh/10765494954/ Edited November 9, 2013 by jimmydamoose
