Austin42156
I was wondering what are some ways in which I can get better sound out of my mids in my door. Car is a 95 Trans Am, the JL Audio mids and tweeters are in the factory locations. I have seen some people using polyfill and I have seen some people use deadening. What all can I do to seal up the door as good as possible so I get the best response from my mids? - 1995 Pontiac Trans Am - 5.7 LT1 V8 - Kenwood Excelon x998 Deck - JL Audio XR650-CSI 6.5" 2-Way Component Speakers (In My Doors) - Crescendo Audio PWX 6.5" Mid Ranges (Right behind my seats) - (1) Kenwood KAC-9105d Monoblock Amplifier - (1) Kenwood X450/4, 4 Channel Amplifier - (2) Kenwood W3013ps 12" Subwoofers - Amps tuned with O-scope. - Stinger Roadkill Sound Deadening - F.A.S.T Rings by Mobile Solutions - Phoenix Gold and Stinger wiring

Kyblack76
Wish id used dampner when I had my RF-T3 comp set. I really feel like I short cut them just slapping them in my OEM location. Maybe play with angle and position also?!? SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
revoracing247
don't mean to chime in again but deadener will help reduce resonance in the door panel and that'll make is sound a bit better but what your really looking for is to make your door basically an infinite baffle or a sealed box for the speaker. just think. how bad does a sub sound when it's being free-aired? vs having it in a sealed box? it's a huge difference and so doing this with your speakers is gonna have the same effect. Skullz
Sound deaden the doors and use closed cell foam between the door and the door skin with a little bit on the outer door skin to stop the back wave bouncing back into the speaker. Properly treated doors will go a long way to getting the best out of what ever set of speakers you use. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2

Austin42156
I read that article and am interested in putting delay into my left mid to correct the phase but my head unit does not have that option. Is there any other way to put the delay on that speaker? - 1995 Pontiac Trans Am - 5.7 LT1 V8 - Kenwood Excelon x998 Deck - JL Audio XR650-CSI 6.5" 2-Way Component Speakers (In My Doors) - Crescendo Audio PWX 6.5" Mid Ranges (Right behind my seats) - (1) Kenwood KAC-9105d Monoblock Amplifier - (1) Kenwood X450/4, 4 Channel Amplifier - (2) Kenwood W3013ps 12" Subwoofers - Amps tuned with O-scope. - Stinger Roadkill Sound Deadening - F.A.S.T Rings by Mobile Solutions - Phoenix Gold and Stinger wiring
