Sagging rear could be fixed by welding in some steel rod between two of the coils. Every set of coils in a spring you make inactive (no longer compress) you make the spring stiffer.

Sounds like a horrible idea.

It's been done before, albeit in a different fashion. Trailer shops usually carry "spring helpers" for coil springs. They're just spacers that install between the coils, and by preventing two or more sets of coils from compressing together they increase the rate of the spring.

Just throwing it out there is Steve wanted to save the cost of coilovers to get the car's rear end jacked back up.

It aint the first time that other brand has made an appearance. You dont have to promote what works. Go to a show and see what people are running. Youll see the same brand over and over again. Its not because they are cheap. Its not because they claim to float higher. Its because they take a beating and keep on going.

Agree'd XS has proven themselves and there is no reason to question it. On the contrary I run an NSB, but guess what? I'm not a dick and don't talk shit about it. Run what you want to run. I don't care either way.

This is the DGAF car - and i am about to prove it. LOL

OK the batteries DID fit end to end in the car and i probably didn't HAVE to do this. One thing i didn't want to do was have to lay over the top of my batteries and use a mirror to set the gains, xovers etc. So i decided to make life easier on myself by dropping the batts into the spare tire well. The spare tire well is round and tapered so all 8 batts won't fit......until now :D. Anyhow, remember before you give me some advice, i already know i need to make it air and water tight. With the exception of the fan system i am going to try and incorporate now that there is a big hole, it will be water tight. This ride is probably not going to hit the highway at all, let alone in the rain so it's no problem. Anyway, I already know what i am going to do. It's not done yet but i wanted to share what i did so far so here ya go.

We pushed it out of the booth and over to the other side of the shop where the lift is. Surprisingly, it rolls easy with all that weight (the woofers/wall).

Up on the lift and deciding my next move...All i do know is it involves a Sawzall. LOL

Actually, i was going to try and pound out a little area and see if could get the batts in......but a few blows and my sledge hammer went thru. Well its no going back now! :D

this is just for fitment...i plan on bracing it down the middle a few times and also sheeting it with sheet metal to keep the elements away from the rack. It shouldn't hang very much lower then the well itself used to.
