Socky
http://www.amazon.com/Volt-Meter-Digital-Shunt-200V/dp/B005HBBZEM/ref=pd_sim_sbs_hi_4 I just got one of these in the mail. Im little skeptical bout it, only cause im not to sure on how to hook up the shunt, my brother told me its similar to a fuse. How do i go abouts on hooking this up so i can read the load of my amp? I understand the basic red/black. But then it says somewhere the shunt is hooked up to the negative terminal and then the load. Now do i take it to the positive of the load or the negative. Im just trying to be on the safe side so i dont blow an amp. Tarball
Here are my very simple thoughts. Don't hook it up. It will only add resistance to your system. There are other ways to check your amp draw and it's not something you have to constantly monitor. Socky
i knew that, right now im only using the voltmeter side. i kept looking at it, and very skeptical about it. Not to worried about the resistance, voltage really isnt a issue since i roughly have about 300 ah in batts for 1500 watts, Guess i wont be using it then.
