DubNDodge
Even if you drop 0.1v you can notice your lights dimming. The only way to fix this headlight dimming completely is to have hid lights. The ballast will output a constant voltage. Did you sand your grounds? Did you buy you alternator off of ebay, tenny or iragi? walwalka
Yes it would, you will need more battery reserve and preferably AGM power cells. If you could find the brand of the alternator, that would help too! 2010 Honda Civic LX / Deck: Kenwood DDX371 / Front Highs: Crescendo RTS-1 / Front Mids: Silver Flute 6.5's / 4 channel: DC Audio 90.4 / Sub: Fi 15in SP4v2 / Sub amp: Taramps HD 5000 / Power wire: Knukonceptz OFC 1/0 / Deadener: Audio Technix 60 mil / Batteries: XS Power D5100R / Rear bank: TBD / Alternator: Singer 240a hairpin

Alouie
The volt meter in my dash was dropping bad also. That's why I started asking questions. I don't want to low volt my amp.
Skullz
Another option is to run 8awg to each headlight with a relay next to each lamp to bypass the lengthy run into the cars headlight switch and back out. EDIT: The run to each light is from the battery to the relay. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2

snafu
Voltage drop is a function of how car audio amplifiers consume current. A quality 1 Farad capacitor located within 18" of your amplifier will likely eliminate it. Tony Candela - SMD Sales & Marketing Email me at [email protected] to learn about becoming an SMD Partner!
