SnowDrifter
Isn't the theoretical maximum 184db or something like that? A perfect vacuum? ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
nCOMP1337
i cant remember the max db level, i think they consider a whale call at like 188db. the only other sounds ever recorded louder than that are volcanoes exploding over 100 years ago, or rather probably the believed db level, i dont know when they started measuring sound levels regardless they are getting closer and closer to being the loudest thing in existence, lol
HHR Ed
Isn't the theoretical maximum 184db or something like that? A perfect vacuum? 194 dB is the limit of sound with a vacuum at sea level. above that and you get an over pressure wave like an explosion. IH8PunkRok
Nine 18s in a Volvo wagon? Any pics? 4x15" + port is about all you can fit walled in a Volvo 245.. Would like to see how the solution to fit nine 18s is. Tunnel? Edit: Nevermind. Found a pic of the "Volvo". Tripling its internal height would solve the space issues: Roof at eye level? Edit, not the same car or configuration as in the clip, sorry This is Alan Dante's car I am pretty sure -Matt2005 Dodge Magnum RTJVC KD-AVX1 2 PPI S580.2 Obsidian Audio ST1 Horn Tweeters PRV 8MB450s Audio Legion 3500.1D 2 RE MT 18s 360 ah LiFePO4 BatterySHCA 2/0 155.2 @ 29 hzKicker CVR 15's buildDD 3512e buildMini T-Line Build(6) 8s BuildNightshade 15s Wall BuildMagnum AB XFL 12s BuildNewest Magnum Build
HHR Ed
So far I have only heard that the official score is 183.7 as seen here with inventor of the Term Lab and head of dB Drag Racing, Wayne Harris. They were testing the new sensors that weekend with Wayne and the 187 may have either been demonstration with sensor placed in the bucket (kick panel). Or showing the old sensor was not accurate above 182.
