David R Sepeter
2013 Impala: Purchased a couple months ago, needless to say, the stock audio system was no where near sufficient. The Goodies: Two Alpine Type R D4's. 40ft 1/0 NVX (half blue/half gray) 100ft of NVX 16g Speaker wire, plus another 50 ft of wire for the tweeters, 3 20ft RF RCA's, Audison distrobution block, 1 pair of Hertz Hi-Energy 165XL components for the front, and Hertz Energy components for the rear. RF T1500 for the Subs, and a RF T600-4 for the interiors. 80sq ft of NVX sound deadener. Pioneer 5500BHS 7" Screen, and a Radio Pro 5 harness to integrate everything. Vmax Charge Tank 2500, and a Optima Red Top to minimize the light dim.Started with runnin the NVX 1/0 Power, and ground front to rear. After the wire was ran, we wanted to see how the Vmax CT 2500 was gonna fit in the wheel well, luck would have it that it was about perfect. We wanted to fire the subs in, so we needed to see what we were looking at to try and seal off the box. Most of my car, sitting in the living roomTime to start deadening...After the trunk was done we need to move to the doors: One reason was to run the new speaker wire to the Hertz Components, and another was to seal off the doors to essentially turn the doors into a seal/deadened box. David R Sepeter
Than it was back to the trunk, to begin deadening the floor in prep for the subs, battery rack, and amps. Had to deaden the rear deck as well, really didnt want any type of vibrations or rattles if we could help it.
David R Sepeter
More deadening in the trunk, and side walls Had to build a plate for the 6.5 components to be able to fit where the 6x9's were. (rear speakers) Time to start building the box! We used 3/4" birch, didnt use MDF mostly because of the weight. Plus I haven't used it before. Painted the port white to match the car Carpeted the part of the box that people will see, trying to keep the build as clean as possible the whole way through Checking box fitment Subs In Also made plates for the front XL 6.5 Hertz Had to modify the pillar panel to accept the tweeters, tried to keep em hidden, just wasnt gonna happen Onto the Battery/Crossover/Distro Block Holder Carpeted and kept clean
David R Sepeter
Than we needed to make a trim panel for over the battery rack, decided to use the Vmax shield as the cutout. Finished, minus a piece of plexi, and some LED's Got the Radio and the Radar in. Subs with the seat down

Crandis16
That's beautiful work man. I love it... your sub stage isn't up to par with your quality mids/highs IMO. for the same price of those alpines you could get some sa-12s with more output My Red zx2 Build Log My Black zx2 Build Log My Red zx2 UBL
