Matthew Savich Posted January 11, 2014 Report Share Posted January 11, 2014 Hey, I Just did my second build with a massive audio hippo 152 and a hifonics brx 2000.1d and took it to my mates shop to get it db tested and found the new box was about 8 db quieter compared to the old box only differences being that the ports are now facing into the car and instead of being tuned at 38 hz it is now tuned to 68 hz as more of an spl focused box. then we re tested with the boot fully opened and we found the db to be only 0.5 of a db quieter than the old box. according to bassbox the new box should be way more efficient and be drawing higher spl was just wondering what a might be missing.
