finally going to the b pillar!!

ok so the B pillar has finally started. we have made great progress so far. first we stripped the car and made it so the front of the box will be level with the back. we used spray foam to adhere the bottom of the box to the car.

then we cut the bottom of the box and used spray foam to secure it.

then we put down the second layer of where the box is going to be.

then we put the sides of the box in. for some reason this is the only pic i got of it.

after the sides were up we put angles on them so we could make the box taller.

After we got the sides done the back of the wall went on.

Once the back was secured we put the top on. we cut angles in it so it would slide into place with the other angled pieces on the sides.

then it was time for the baffle. we decided to make the baffle out of oak just to try something different. the baffle was probably the hardest part so far.

it was hard to fit 4 15's and have enough port area. but we were able to do it.

then we marked up all of the holes for the subs and port and cut them.

the baffle fit so we screwed it in and glued it. didn't get any pictures of it but i did fiberglass the angles and the top of the box. I coated the rest

of the box in resin. the entire box will be fiberglassed in the near future.

So that is it for a bit. when i get back home for christmas break i will be fiberglassing the rest of the box, bracing the box, putting the port in, reconing the other 2 subs, sealing off and doing trim panels, making trim panels for the trunk and wrapping them, and painting the baffle. it should be playing after all that. I already really like this build and its not even playing lol. the only thing about this wall is i went pretty much all the way to the B pillar. so its crammed. I am 5'6" and its a tight fit for me lol. so i will probably be demoing with the seats out at shows. besides that though it is coming together pretty well..

Im looking for a hatch and I am leaning towards a Focus. I guess i got some measuring to do.
