Its a shame to put such a nice piece so far down in the engine compartment. It works like it should. Charges at 14.1 at the battery at idle and very little voltage drop at the CT sounds gain knob volt gauge. Not a big difference now either if I send it into clipping as far a voltage drop. So far so good. Next is to get the new box and subwoofer in. I just hope I am not expecting too much out of this set up and get disappointed. I don't think I will but you just never know. I guess if its not enough I can always buy another HDC 3 12 and another amp to run it. LOL I think I will wait until Mon. That is when my DD-1 CC-1 show up. Seriously tho, should sound good n loud with what you have. Let me know how the hdc3 performs. When I redo my substage I'm going with 2 SA-12s in 4th order rear deck blow thru in trunk. But was also interested and looking at the HDC3s... I've seen alot about the SAs just not as much of the HDC3s. Anyway, keep plugging away and you'll be pounding in no time! Cheers! I will take the pioneer 6500 that I have now and install it in my wifes scion XB. She wants it for the hands free BT phone and so she can BT her music. She will also get the alpine 45W hu booster amp. I bought the deh x 8600 deck. It has 3 sets of 4v pre outs and HD radio. The 6500 only had 2 2v pre outs. So it looks like I will have completely change my system front to back.
