Adrian Lechuga
I trying to find a new amp to power my woofers. I have 2 pioneer 12" shallow mount subwoofers. My current amp is a kicker 750.1 but it keeps going into protection mode so I cant even bump it at all. The woofers are said to be able to take 1500 each. jk13
The woofers are said to be able to take 1500 each. Never ever look at maximum power numbers. Those are 400 watt subwoofers. I have one and I've run a true 300 to it for the last 8 years. It would take more. Single 4 ohm subs you want an amp that is 800-1000 real watts at 2 ohms. Single 2 ohm subs you want an amp that is 800-1000 real watts at 1 ohm. Static drops are my bag.
gattiboy13
Yes really the Pioneer 9601. It is a bad amp. I know many people who have ran it and so have I, it pushes a real 1200-1250 rms or 800 at 2 ohm for you.
truthsayer
Yes sir on the pioneer. I dont much like any other pioneer products. But their GM-D series amps are the real deal. truthsayer
hazestorm23
Welcome to the forums Adrian. One quick question is how are your subs wired as far as final impedance?
