meade916
there is an inlet at the top of the reservoir. I have a fitting, a hose and a funnel...just pour it in very carefully and that is it. Close the inlet when done....and done! Already did it. No more turbulence, no more micro bubbles, it is perfect now. My CPU and my GPU's idle between 23c and 25c. On full load during gaming, with my GPUs overclocked i can reach mid 40c tops. On benchmarking tests (even heavier load) my temps reach between 47-52c TOPS. When i had 2 GTX 780's on air, they both reached mid 70's creeping on 80c. So 30 degree's difference is NICE! When the game (or benchmark) stops, the temps drop like a rock. It's a really good setup, i love it! Interesting. Was wondering how you would unhook one of those tubes and not spill shit everywhere! LMAO if you look at the video, you will see the initial filling of the cooling system. The hose i am holding comes out when i am done. I suppose i could make a custom fill-hole on top of the case but honestly i prob wont even touch this for 2-3 years and even then it will be a top off at best. So no need for all the extra work on something i will (almost) never touch. Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! meade916
Ok so here is some early testing with my graphics cards slightly overclocked. I have not overclocked the CPU yet. My BIOS version is different then the one i been studying and i gotta find a way to bypass the "turbo" mode and keep it at (for example) 4.6 rather then have the pc start at 3.7 and "ramp it up" for me. (if you understand what i am saying).Damn, it's not as easy as just disabling the Turbo Boost and upping the multiplier? I'm not trying to say it as though you didn't already check that, I'm genuinely curious as I'm not familiar with the BIOS of those boards. I do know with my Gigabyte it was that simple, though (granted I'm not running any sort of cooling like you are ). I could also be misunderstanding what you're trying to do. nope that didn't work. On previous version's of my bios, that is all you needed to do. This one is just different enough to f#ck me. LOL...I can disable turbo mode and "sync all cores" to 4.6g (for example) but it will still be 3.7 and work it's way up to 4.6 when needed. That's nice technology and all, eco friendly i guess.....but i have no idea when it's actually overclocking itself i just have to hope it is. That sucks. I am gonna get that handled though probably today. It's just a few settings i haven't figured out yet. Does it fluctuate inside the OS? If so, it might be a power setting. In the control panel, if the "Power Options" is available, go in there and in the advanced settings in the Edit Plan Settings, there's a category for "Processor power management". For my Balanced profile, Minimum processor state is 5% and it allows fluctuation in CPU clock. For High performance, it's at 100% and doesn't fluctuate at all.Lemme know if that helps. Edit: You can check CPU clock in Windows VIA CoreTemp, if you aren't already familiar with it. Yes, i use core temp and YES i had that damn shit set to balanced....dude, you are the MAN! I think that is it! Locked on now! right on brotha thanks! Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! Locked on now! right on brotha thanks! Lmao, don't feel bad.. I had the same problem and it took me ACCIDENTALLY coming across those options to figure it out.. I couldn't figure out why it'd fluctuate between ~1500 MHz to my 4.5 GHz clock. meade916
kinda weird, it dropped a few degree's (at idle) when i changed it to the higher power settings. damn, any cooler im gonna have to aim a HEATER at my PC to warm it up some LOL Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! Hikato
Yeah, those power options tweak a lot of things.. fan speeds and what not (not like many of them are controllable, at least in my case lol). Those temps are awesome either way haha. I'm runnin my 3770k @ 4.5 and idle is ~30C. I have seen it done once now so I would consider myself an expert! Time to go water cool my Atari!!! Lol Edited December 19, 2013 by 79 cutty Quote Firm believer in letting my cars do my talking! beaker
I know when mine did that it was the C states in the power management (dropped CPU clocks) But I'm pretty sure disabling it just disables your ablitiy to change it in Windows. Hotdog
Nice setup Steve. I have a question for you though. I have not gamed in a few years and when I get my PC updated what are your recommendation for BF4? do you use game controllers or just keyboard? Last time I gamed was Quake 3 arena and I played the hell out of it and even built some custom maps that are on file planet and quake planet. I just realized that Quake 3 released in like 1999 holy crap has it been that long.
