how it sits now

i need to rethink everything because it was set up for 2 2500s, and my "amp rack" isnt cutting it that great anymore. it looks like shit and rattles, backing the screws out kind of helped. i want to put the amps in a line and like make a cover with some fans, i dont have any ac any more and the amps get hot.

after about a week, i like the one amp at .5 more than the 2, barely see it go under 13v now. been chasing this rattle though, pretty sure its from exhaust drone cause it goes away above 1500rpm.

another thing i was impressed about was, i had left my d3100s sit for a little over a year and they only dropped to 12.5v

i had moved to the desert, palm springs area for about a year. it getting like 120 during the summer it cooked the door, i have no idea how hot it actually got in the car. you can see on the kick panel the black goop, that melted from the second skin on the door. the window control plastic piece busted one day when i pulled on it. the glue on the door panels just cooked away. i had them a whole summer in sacramento, even on the 105+ days they were fine.

did a shit google search and it said butyl rubber has like a 250 degree operating point limit or whatever. considering ive measured parts of my interior during 105 days being like 220-230. im not surprised it probably got over 250 in the car at some point. especially with it being 15 degrees hotter.

point of the story, living in the desert sucks ass.
