Andy Bottiglieri
So my friend bought 3 JL 10w3v3 subs. (4 ohm)They are 500w a piece. I know these can be wired down to 1.3ohms....So would I need an amp capable of more than 1500w @ 1ohm?Im not exactly sure how the 1.3 ohms works. Thanks guys! jarrius
I would look at about 1.5 ohms(to make it easy) so i would look at a amp that puts out 2.5k at 1ohm or a amp that can do about 2k at 2ohms. The extra couple hundred watts will not hurt anything unless you clip them bad 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
Broke_Audio_Addict
What's the price range you are looking in. I would look for something that does 1500 at 2 ohm but is still 1 ohm stable. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. bcbrassard
You can pick up a RF T1500BDCP for about $500 these days, cheaper if you buy used. Just my 2 cents.
